BSRIA is the eu.bac authorised laboratory for testing of Individual Zone Controllers (IZC with motorised actuators) that will help manufacturers comply with the new eu.bac certification scheme.

The tests apply to the following applications:

• radiator heating
• fan coil heating/cooling
• chilled ceilings
• electrical heating devices without self heating in the room sensor.

The testing is carried out in accordance with the EN15500 standard and involves thermal comfort tests, economy mode, frost-free mode tests, and other. To help manufacturers comply, BSRIA works in partnership with the UK certification body Intertek.

BSRIA reports are internationally recognised and the manufacturers from other European countries have an option to apply for certification either in the UK or at their local eu.bac Certification Bodies.
