BSRIA networks
BSRIA networks bring together representatives from different organisations to hear presentations, discuss and examine solutions to issues that are affecting the industry. Through our networks programme the members contribute to a growing store of building services and construction knowledge that will give them commercial advantage and help progress our industry.
Building Information Modelling
Building information modelling (BIM) models and manages information as well as graphics for sharing information through construction and the whole building lifecycle, eliminating the need to re-enter data, and avoiding data loss, miscommunication, and translation errors.
The network operates through meetings (usually in workshop format) both of the full network and of task groups, and e-mail news
Energy and Sutsainability Network
This is a BSRIA member-only network focused on the area of energy and sustainability. The group comprises representatives from building owners and operators, designers, consultants, service providers and manufacturers across the construction and building services sector. The group meets 3 to 4 times per year. The objective of the group is to identify specific challenges and address these through discussion, research, publications and knowledge management.
This network is only available to BSRIA members and is included as part of the membership subscription.
O&M Benchmarking Network
Benchmarking enables comparison of performance with industry averages. Building operators can use this to identify areas to:
- reduce costs
- improve efficiency
- improve services
- save energy
BSRIA facilitates a network of building operators and service providers, covering a range of industries. Data is collected and distributed to members, broken down by size, type of building, and geographical location for easier comparison.
Network members keep up to date with the latest industry practice through seminars held four times per year on topical subjects.
The seminars are free to network members but also open to non-members for a fee. We also organised Special Interest Group meetings in order to discuss and exchange information.
